Inspired by the rap-style lyrics of the Broadway hit Hamilton, our Music Director Mae Stroshane wrote a pageant in rap. Mae, along with kids of all ages, plus guest percussionist Ayo Osude, presented this original, upbeat & fun take on the Christmas story. We also pulled a winner of our raffle gift of a double-CD set of the music from Hamilton. Mae offered this script to UCC churches across the country, so we hope that many more of us enjoyed this unique pageant.
“We will teach our children about God, Church and Scripture, modeling Christian life and faith through intergenerational learning, incorporating music, prayer, church history, faith identity, and fun into the learning process. We will share our faith stories with each other for personal growth, for the growth of the church, and for outreach to the community.”
The 2017-2018 Sunday School is in coming soon! Kids learn a lot by coming to church - how we pray, sing and praise God. During the Sunday School year (Sept-June) kids begin the morning in worship with us. They hear a Children’s Message from Rev. Martha then go to Sunday School with their teachers. Kids of all ages share Communion with us & we have activity “God-Pax” to keep them busy & learning while they are in church. In the pews there is a helpful guide to Church Etiquette for the entire family to help explain the elements of the service for during the summer when we worship together. We offer First Communion and Confirmation classes, too. Hope to see you here at 10AM Sunday mornings.
